Rev. Joshua S. Lewis, M.Div., has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theology from Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO) a Master’s of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary (Richmond, VA) and is currently a PhD student at Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA) in the area of historical theology. An ordained Pentecostal minister, Rev. Lewis currently serves as the pastor of Jerusalem Christian Church, a historic church in rural Virginia.
Rev. Lewis has served on numerous boards such as the King William County Fatherhood Initiative and the Ministering to Ministers Foundation. He is regularly sought after as a speaker and lecturer and has taught seminars at Evangel University (Springfield, MO) and VCU (Richmond, VA) on culture and theology. An Edgar Allan Poe enthusiast, Rev. Lewis is a regular presenter at the Poe Museum in Richmond on topics such as “Poe as Theologian” and “Biblical and Theological Themes in ‘The Raven’”.
An accomplished writer Rev. Lewis has numerous academic publications to his credit and also served on the research and writing team for the new book, “Is Christianity the White Man’s Religion?” published by Wipf and Stock.
Rev. Lewis intentionally builds bridges as evidenced by his ministry success as a church planter, and a pastor to Pentecostal, Non-denominational, Native-American, Baptist, and Christian churches. He also serves one of Virginia's oldest foster care non-profits as an outreach specialist and recruiter of foster families for vulnerable children and youth. His greatest calling in life however, is that of a husband and father to his beautiful wife Candace and their five children.
